The environment of the rocks and gravel with their low-growing, drought-tolerant plants really contrast with the planted hosta, whose lush water-rich leaves couldn't be any more different.Sunil Patelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17998062749546109287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890786265475429448.post-81392089687327042622015-07-08T04:13:45.680-04:002015-07-08T04:13:45.680-04:00Thank You, Alain, I have done so! These are very rare in our country. They attract bees and look wonderful in winter time! If you move it it seems to come up just as strong in the old spot the next year. rochefleuriegardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06783773632775842680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890786265475429448.post-12783789441704189642015-07-06T20:51:52.491-04:002015-07-06T20:51:52.491-04:00They do have a long flowering period but here they...They do have a long flowering period but here they more or less have to be treated as annual. Some year I manage to carry them over.<br />My computer died - a bought a new one, which is not working well and the Internet feed is not working properly either. They spread, but they don't seem terribly invasive like some other groundcover plants. Plus, they have wildlife value as early and late pollen and nectar sources for the pollinators. Lucky you to have pink Lady Slipper Orchids. Although many up here consider all the dead-nettles to be "weeds," I personally love them. They're bright, pretty groundcover for awhile and then they vanish until the next season. The leaves are as attractive as the flowers.Emily Schillerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00536524180642438952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890786265475429448.post-86665492244270527492015-07-05T03:24:52.310-04:002015-07-05T03:24:52.310-04:00Lovely roses and their friends.
